What is the best surprise you've ever gotten? Unexpected gifts, a friend doing something really special for you? Maybe your family planned something?

As for me I think my favorite surprise was getting proposed to! I was embarrassed at the exact moment but ultimately it's lead to very happy moments, like the bartender bringing us two small drinks on the house. And of course many into the future!

Finally I can share a story I've been wanting to tell for many years, I would say my best surprise is getting a SNES Mini or a PS5 and a copy of Miles Morales in 2020 (Yeah IDEK how my sister managed to buy it). 3DS is up there cus it changed my life forever cus it was the first gaming device I ever got to own for myself. Also Miles Morales is where I got my namesake and made me love Miles as a character, even more than Spiderverse.

But this surprise in particular was back in a Christmas of 2013 and for an idea what being 9 in 2013 was like, One Direction was the biggest thing ever, 1D Mania is very hard to describe if you didn't love through it and I got tickets to see them for a concert in 2014 and I was like "OMG HOW DID YOU GET THESE" cus they were just as hard to get as Taylor Swift tickets.

So I was kinda hyped for a whole year and then by April, I started to get put off going cus I heard it would be loud and cold and like 10 year old me with autism hasn't learnt how to handle their sensory issues with noise yet and any sort of loud sound would make me go kaboom.

So now being put off by this, I decided to sell my tickets to my sister and her friend... for £45, which I then spent on Star Wars . Of course 10 year old me didn't know any better.

nowadays, I actively regret both not going to the concert and selling them for like £45.

I could've been a rich 10 year old if I listed them on Ebay or something.

my mom sent me a sindy doll I've been wanting as a kid but never got, along with her old jem doll collection. needless to say I am happy. sindy is the british answer to barbie. I also managed to find a vintage francie doll too when I bought a blind box from a thrift shop last month, in complete but even a nude growing pretty hair francie doll is like 126 on ebay. now if only god himself would smile on me and atleast land me a bild lili clone doll I'd be very happy, for those wondering what I am talking about bild lili is like THEE original barbie, like with out lili we'd have no barbie, I have some lili's furniture but theres no way in hell I can afford almost 2k for a original doll.

honestly i'm not one for surprises, so i wasn't sure i had an answer for this one, but today it occurred to me! but it's really sappy lol.
it happened several years ago, when my partner and i had been dating for 2-3 years and living together for only about a year. i got home from a long day at work and took my hair down from how it was all piled on top of my head. my partner walked into the bedroom, saw my hair the most frizzy and unruly and huge as he had ever seen it, and gasped and said, "your hair is so beautiful!" i was stunned because i'd always hated my hair, and it never did anything i wanted it to, and i'd always been really insecure about it. but his first thought upon seeing my hair looking like a used broomstick was that it was beautiful???? that definitely surprised the hell out of me lol. i think about that moment a lot, actually, and i thought about it today. the funny thing is that he doesn't even remember it happening, it was just so inconsequential to him. but i remember and sometimes i cry about it lol. so anyway that was a very unexpected and appreciated moment!!

you should never feel ashamed about your frizzy curly hair. you have a hair type that most women would damage their hair for just have curls. just wanted to impart that...I used to have curls but now that I am hitting my 30s its straightening.
