  • Ok this is pretty damn cool
Rui Kisugi (Cats Eye) and Velvet From Tales of Berseria

Cristina Valenzuela voices both their English counterpart, her Velvet voice is super nostalgic for me cause that was my first JRPG.

    And Fujiok herself!

must have been weird to do the Conan ones later with Michelle right next to her lol
I get the strangest feeling this would be just the right time to finally watch Mystery of Mamo..

It's my hands down favorite Lupin film, personally. I hope you enjoy it!
    "Screw source material!"

writers should stop limiting themselves for the sake of not going too far.

in all serious I think I want to make a thread on why SM is pretty limiting in the grand scheme of things.
This isn't directly applied to Lupin but he will be talked about.

well if they did make a lupin III franchise true to the source matieral the manga we'd probably wouldn't be past part 1.

I think it's absolutely for the best if adaptations take liberties to try to make stuff interesting, especially over the course of something this long!
Green VS Red is actually a cinematic masterpiece

I will convince everyone here within a thread in due time, just gotta go in for a third watch to check notes..

I think it has a lot of really cool ideas! Not all done well, but it always gives me a lot to talk about, which is a lot more than I can say for some of the specials...

i agree with tsushi! it has a ton of rewatch value. i seem to notice something new with each viewing. it's way better than i think it gets credit for lol.
Apparently, Cat's Eye is getting a french live action series?!

    I'll be there day 1
    Be me:

Try and get back into coding with a project that is wayyyyy too big for you to understand..

(it was a good idea at the time)
Watching Cat's Eye really has made me realize how much in general the vibe of the 80s and 90s anime era is

I think the 2000s have its charm too but it's just that old hand drawn aesthetic.

call it nostalgia but how can I say that when I was born during a different era?

I agree though, generally the 80s and 90s had a LOT of money to put into anime so the animation does look better due to that, then in the 2000s the market crashed so animation had to take big cuts!

watching 80s and 90s anime gives me a sad nostalgic vibe, like when I was a kid and the times I discovered anime, will never happen again. sorry I am bit hormonal and emotional today. T__T the futuristic ones gives me the vibes of a future that could've been but never was.

Cat's Eye backgrounds really are so impressive to me! I can tell that those folks at TMS at the time were hugely talented, it shows! There are some amazing feats in animation still happening, new and old techniques will continue to inspire artists. I think you can never know what the future might hold for art, and watching an appreciating the old stuff is a lot of fun and there's so so much I still haven't seen!

    Ya know what screw it!

I need to catch up a bunch so I'm going to watch Star Wars in chronological order.

    first up is.

    crap...
Ok so that wristwatch didn't turn out like I wanted..

But anyway, I have something much more ambitious planned and it involves the 'Red Vs Green' poster.

idk how well it will turn out but I've already got the headshape, it's going to be very lowpoly but with its own style still.
I think yawl should watch the recent Batman Caped Crusader, it's just really damn well written.

I see a good chunk of lupin fans enjoying episode 2 especially.
Beware The Time Machine must be one of my favorite eps in the whole series, I hope more si-fi makes it's way back into the series at some point.

Omg I agree! I liked that Part 4 went weird with technology in its own way. Part 6 tried to do a time traveling idea? But I do want more supernatural or sci fi elements to shake things up in the episodes!

Remember when I said I pretty much had that model done?
    yeah me too..
I'm excited to show yawl the Lupin Inspired 3D art piece I've been working on!

I wish I had it done sooner but I think it's turned out pretty well (at least for a blender noob like me)
