Why is Murasaki's last name listed as Inabe?

I'm been working on a Fuma Conspiracy written Essay and something weird I've come across is that Murasaki's last name is sometimes listed online as being Inabe?

Logically, her last name should be Suminawa since in the OVA, she is marrying Goemon and Goemon is quoted as "becoming a Suminawa". I've done some digging and it's looks like all the mentions online are copy pasted synopsis of the film and that maybe the mistake came from AnimeNewsNetwork (from around when the Discotek dvd came out).

But that's about all I got, so maybe somebody who has a better knowledge of Japanese maybe know what's up. I can't really research this since I think this is just thing in the English speaking fandom. Is this mistake similar to the Streamline dub of Cagliostro naming Zenigata "Inspector Keibu Zenigata"?

Hmm... Interesting. There are opening credits where you can see the names of the voice actors. It just says "Murasaki". No last name whatsoever. I also checked my DVD package and it's the same. Just "Murasaki" is all you can see. I always believed her full name was Murasaki Suminawa, never even questioned about it but now we've all gotta wonder what her name really is. 😂

Yeah, I remember seeing the character bio online a while back. I just assume her last name is Suminawa since what else would it be? I figure the Inabe name probably comes from English localizer mishearing something, but I wonder how the confusing could have happened.
