Which lupin iii movie is the best introduction for someone that has never watched lupin before?

Yeah i know the classic answers like Castle of Cagliostro and Lupin III the first but what's one that you personally would use as an introduction even if it's not a classic?

I think I would go with Legend of the gold of Babylon or even Alcatraz Connection, which are of my personal favourites. I could use the Vs Detective Conan specials but if the other person doesn't know detective Conan either it ends up with too many characters to introduce. But otherwise they're a wonderful showcase of Lupin's deal.

Mystery of Mamo, Nostradamus, and probably one of Koike's OVA. Pretty risky pick (especially koike because apparently people don't like his stuff), but I feel like anyone who's dipping their toes into Lupin should be prepared for how different in tone each animated media can be.

definitly Nostradamus. It's the least crazy. (besides that one REAL RANDOM coma scene.)

I always rec First Contact because for the most part, it feels like an introduction/beginning, so people who don't want to jump in the middle of things can take their bearings with it. It's also neither super dark and violent nor pure fluff that kids can watch, so after watching it people can decide if they'd like to go darker or lighter or keep watching similar stuff.
