Week 1 - What do you want to make in 2023?

Tell us a bit about what you hope to make, build or grow in 2023?

It can be an art project, a group, a physical object, a skill, anything like that!

For myself, my goal was to build this forum into a safe and fun place! I'm so thankful to everyone who has helped me so far. I hope you all see lots of success and growth in 2023.

I'd like to work some more on drawing -- I barely ever practice because I can't decide what to draw, so I don't get better.

Definitely wanna work on my web comic more. But I also wanna work on other comic projects as well. I liked doing zines last year and hope to do more this year. Maybe even start one of my own.

I'm really hoping to write more than I did last year, so more than 10 fics this year - or the equivalent in long-form fics. I've got some planned already and a few WIPs in progress, so hopefully I'll get them all out there!

Skill-wise, I want to start dabbling in animation and/or 3D again!
Project-wise, I'm hoping to post more vocalsynth works than I did last year (1....) and a good handful of the projects I have planned are Lupin III song covers heheh

Myst I was thinking about asking you for doing the fake Lupin theme for my fake season of Lupin zine… so perhaps we can have synergy on this goal!

WHEW that's a tall order but I'm happy to give it a shot!! Would be a ton of fun and a challenge to do a Lupin theme arrangement

for 2023, m wantin to put more focus into my art. would love to be able to have one of those posts at the end of the year with a piece each month.
overall want to make more progress with all my projects n start growin out, gettin some reach, postin n creatin more n general.
s tricky with irl situations, financially n such. but its the hope for 2023.

Honestly finishing anything is a huge deal! I think many of us have practice starting things but a lot less practice on the middle and ending haha. Good luck to both of us on that!

this year i really want to put myself out there and try something in a class setting that i've never done before! aiming for throwing pottery, but i also want to see what else i can find in my city to do that's different. i also want to make a lot more paintings and maybe even apply to some gallery shows! best of luck everyone with their goals!

I picked up a writing challenge where you aim to write one fic each month for a ship of your choice. Other than fandom stuff, I want to learn to cook some new things since I tend to just repeat the handful of dishes I can make.

I want to get back into painting! I haven't done a traditional painting in a couple years-- lack of space and a discouraging theft of one of my finished pieces kind of put a stop to that. But I love making big ol' acrylic paintings, so I'm determined to get my easel into my apartment and set up a little work space somehow :^)

I really want to start working on building my comic-making skills; developing a methodology and getting more efficient about the drawing process. I also absolutely want to take what I've learned in school and dive into animating more as well, in addition to working on animatics (perhaps the efficient one-man-show way of making an 'animated' piece). And get better at cooking, frankly

I am hoping to make an lupin cross stich embroidery this year. I found a program that can convert a photo into a cross stich pattern so I may start with a screenshot of one of the scenes I especially like and see where that will take me.

For my own sanity, I mainly hope I can get better at working with 3D stuff. I mean obviously I hope my 2D work will improve as well, but it's my 3D skills that need the most work right now
