I recently started to play Tangle Tower! A really fun and beautiful Investigation Point and Click!
I honestly bought it for the looks (I mean look at the characterdesigns!) and for the fact
that it's fully dubbed and animated... But can you believe it? The game itself if cool too!
A really fun and chill 5 to 6 hours game, I recommand!

If you do, I hope you'll like it :kar_jigen:
This game is really interesting, art wise! You have access to an art galery in game with sketches and thoughts
about the characters and how they were designed, with all the steps of their creations and different artists's take on them!
Got me out of my artblock hehehe:lupdance:

That game looks fun, I might have to check this out. Also I really love your art. I'm a sucker for watercolors and stuff :kar_lup:

I JUST FINISHED THIS GAME THIS WEEKEND!!!
I love it - the art style, the characters, the dialogues - it really is a little gem of a game. I just wish it was a little longer :p Even if it is significaly longer than the first game.

It is :) It is shorter and simpler honestly but the mechanics are the same. The story is nice too. It's called Detective Grimoire secret of the swamp - you can get it pretty cheep on steam. Worth looking into, just remember that Tangle Tower is a very good sequel and improves on a lot :p
Also Tangle Tower has a lot of easter eggs referencing the first game (the strange statues for example) - I had a lot of fun with those :D

Well, I don't know about other, but I got really into the story!
Being an investigation game, the story makes you think about a bunch of different theories about who did what, how, and all that... So you get to learn about a decade of shady family business~ (I will admit the family stuff is a little complicated to understand at first, because you get introduced to a lot of new characters at the same time and it can be confusing. But when you get familiar with all of them it gets pretty interesting)
But even with all that thinking happening, the ending still get to surprise you, which is great!
ALSO, I have to tell you that the ending and the game itself doesn't give you all the answers/missing pieces about the story. You might be left with some questions! A lot of fans have interesting theories about the game, so in case you get frustrated with the ending I recommand checking the steam community chat :D

To be honest the ending makes a bit more sence if you played the first game - a little bit. But the ending is wery much an open one and is setting the grounds for sequels (I really want there to be sequels :D)
The family relation to one another was a bit complicated - I needed to go back to the family tree and check who is related to whom and to what degree - aliteration of all the characters didn't help at all in that regard, I was confusing people with one another constantly.
When it comes to the plot you really feel like the game is allowing you as a player to figure stuff out. There are several mysteries in the game that appear and are so far unexplained but it just gives it great athmosphere I think - like in a real life investigation, not everything is going to be explained away.
The plot is also so cleverly written that you won't be able to identify the culprit in the first 10 minutes - most of the characters act suspicious, some may have a motive, they were all in one place and no one knows anything - intriguing locked room mystery to be honest. It gripped me enough that I finished it in one sitting, staying up till 3AM to do so XD

m not too familiar with explorin the steam community pages n such, but m slowly gettin there. always excited to explore what a community has to offer anytime i finish any sort of media.
with fingers crossed their not insane of course, but smaller ones or more obscure medias fandom are usually the calmest n kindest to find.
how many characters are there, do you feel that each character s properly displayed, given the opportunity to flesh out, get to know them more then first appearances, etc?

Ok so Tangle Tower is actually a sequel to Detective Grimoire (you can find both on steam). The games are not that connected. The main character is the same, the feel of the game as well and Tangle Tower has A LOT of easter eggs references to the first game. The first game is also being referenced in the latter part/ ending of the Tangle Tower (here you will be able to recognise characters from previous game).
Detective Grimoire took me about 3 hours to finish, and Tangle Tower was about twice as long, so around 6, how long it takes you mostly depends how used you are to mystery and investigative games - it may take a bit longer or a bit less for you :)

There are 11 characters if you count the two main ones (The Detective and his Assistant). Given the fact that you need to question them (with them all being suspects), you do learn a lot about them very quickly! Also the fact that they're fully dubbed AND animated gives them so much more life and flesh :D
