Show me your Lupin OCs!

Not quite sure what category I should put this in but! I've been seeing a lot of OCs in my Lup discord lately, and I guess that's got me on a bit of an OC kick, lol. If you have any characters you wanna gush about for a bit, I'd love to see 'em!

I'll go first, just to break the ice; this is my very, very self indulgent Jigen sister OC, Aiko! Don't have a whole lot of art of her (really gotta get on that) but like. She means the world to me



She's literally just a normal person (an impressive feat in the Lupin III universe, I know) who just flat out doesn't talk to anyone in the main cast aside from Jigen and sometimes Lupin. And like any good OC who is literally just a normal person, she makes up for it with trauma (I mean the only reason she exists in the manga at all is so that the antagonist of that week can hold her hostage and force Jigen into working for him and killing Lupin. The more you know, anime onlys.). Her relationship with her brother is a bit strained (though weirdly enough it has nothing to do with the whole crime thing; she's surprisingly cool with that) but it's still Pretty Good All Things Considered. They're drinking buddies

Amazing how this franchise can give us literal crumbs to work with and we'll take 'em and run wild with 'em anyway.

Oh yeah, she also runs a cool bar with her girlfriend and is an ace lesbian because I say so.

I have a few Lupin OCs, but the two I imagine taking center stage in the little original jacket project would be Tommy and Monty!



The Count of Monte Cristo (just refered to as 'Monty' most of the time) is a descendant of the character from the novel of the same name. She wants nothing to do with Lupin and the gang, but Lupin makes himself her problem anyway. She also has a bit of a fling with Fujiko, unrelated to her dealing with Lupin's constant theft of her belongings. The Count makes a point to use two twin pistols as purely melee weapons; if she has to put a bullet in the chamber, it's akin to a fighter dropping their weights. A wost-case scenario for anyone who made themselves her problem.



Thomas (or Tommy for short) by contrast is very keen to get involved with Lupin-- because he sees him as prime game and wants to mount his stuffed head over a fire place somewhere. He's a descendant of Tom and Daisy Buchanan of The Great Gatsby infamy, and were there any need for further proof the American Dream is dead... Here comes Tommy. He's already in Jigen's bad graces for tricking him into assassinating his aunt (the all-too neglected baby from the novel proper). He will create problems where the Count is keen to avoid them.

I'm hoping to get to do more with them once I have the time, as this art is quite old at this point!

I just created Lupin the third oc's this year, so this is kinda perfect. Here we have, from left to right, Oshizu and Heiji Zenigata (Pop's ancestors) and Ishikawa Goemon the Third (Goemon's ancestor obviously). They are largely around as ghosts in a fanfic of mine, Handcuffs over Coins, and when they were alive-and even now that they were dead, they were a polycule. The power throuple.



And Sayako Zenigata (Pops' younger sister). She is a Domestic abuse survivor who winds up escaping her bad life and getting a fresh start with Fujiko's unexpected help. The women formed a close romantic bond, though they keep it an open relationship. Neither woman wants to be tied down, and Sayako still has a teenage son to look after. She is in my fic, Handcuffs Over Coins, and I'd like to use her again for stories or whatnot. She's a timid and shy woman learning to seize life by the horns, and has secret aspirations to become a "cool, dashing thief," as she views Fujiko and Lupin.

This is Usagi but she's commonly nicknamed Vee. She's a normal girl by day but at night she becomes the Pretty Phantom Thief Lupin V and she's gonna punish you. (Yes she's Lupin Granddaughter, why make 4 when we can skip to 5... after all, 4 means death in Japan)

Vee lives in a more tech advanced era which of course has made stealing a bit more harder these days with the increase of security and the likes but thats nothing a Lupin can't handle. She prioritises more in the tech side of stealing, like hacking, making the crypto market collapse and stealing NFTs. (Okay I'm mostly joking) and of course, she does steal priceless jewels and artifacts like her family did.

She doesn't use any firearms like a Walther or anything, she has a bit more of a passive but still deadly method of self defense. Playing cards, she prides herself on the skill she has with magic tricks and illusions especially card tricks, which is how she steals most treasures and evade the likes of the police force.

She also has a glass eye prosthetic as she lost her right eye in an accident when she was 10 and this was around the time both of her parents went missing. I do have more Lupin descendants cus I don't see many capitalizing on the gap between 3 and 8. I just need to get around drawing them.

Jack The 3rd ( it’s Lupin the 3rd with kinda hedgehog like qualities , Husk . Basically a wolf version of Jigen , KL , and Violetta Goemon & Fugiko but both are also like Jack The 3rd

I'm not able to draw well enough to render him, but my most fleshed out Lupin OC is a Jigen Ex named Razor. I wanted him to be a bit like Mash and a bit like Dynamite Joe, sort of melded together into a more charming and broad framed guy than Mash but still definitely not as sweet and trustworthy as Joe.

Jigen was partnered up with Razor for awhile and they most certainly are more than friends. But have had multiple falling outs but Jigen finds himself drawn to the familiarity of a devil he knows than trust the mysterious Lupin. They aren't fully sure where they stand with each other. Too familiar with each other's habits and a lot of unresolved issues they refuse to discuss.

Here's his short description from the fic I'm writing with a take on how Jigen and Lupin first met: "The silence stretched on for longer than Jigen would have liked, before a man finally came forward. His hands held a long rifle, with a sharpened knife- not a bayonet, but a goddamned twelve-incher of a Bowie knife- welded to the front. There was a black bandana tied around his neck, and stubble on his chin. Jigen knew the stubble was particularly scratchy, if a guy happened to brush his cheek against it. The man had coarse brown hair, and icy blue eyes, heavy bags beneath them. His frame was broad, strong, and a smug smile crept onto his lips as he saw Jigen."

I don't have a name or art yet, but I have an idea for an OC who's a back-alley doctor. They're very good at what they do, but they became disillusioned with working at hospitals and with healthcare systems at large. Their patients are mostly underworld types, and they end up ambulance-chasing after Lupin's gang because 1) these people are definitely gonna get injured eventually, and 2) world-class thieves probably have a lot of money to pay for a hospital alternative. They can't fight at all and are pretty cowardly when violence actually breaks out, but they did not take the Hippocratic Oath, and they will use their medical knowledge to harm people if they think justice requires it. When they're not price-gouging the mob, they provide free community medical care.

I also don't have a name or art for this one, but I have another idea for a young assassin who looks up to Jigen. When he was a child, he saw Jigen kill his father (part of a job, nothing personal). But since his father was abusive and would have likely killed him someday, he actually sees Jigen as his savior. He also internalizes the idea that the ability to kill others was necessary for survival, so he grows up to be a merciless hitman, believing that he's following in Jigen's footsteps. He's both a child that Jigen saved, and a monster that Jigen created. He has a nice, pleasant personality, but he also doesn't think much about killing people and has never gotten close to others emotionally. Although he harbors no ill will toward Jigen, he thinks it would be fitting if he kills him someday.

Then there's Catherine Bell, who I created for a fanfic. She's the artist of a painting Lupin wanted to steal. A "Lupin girl" who really wanted nothing to do with him.

I got bored and starting thinking, "Goemon can have a rival, as a treat." So I made up another OC--Osamu Kawamoto, who's descended from Minamoto no Yoshitsune. He doesn't use the name "Minamoto" because he doesn't want to stand out, and because he has a somewhat troubled relationship to his legacy. Like his ancestor, he's a skilled swordsman, but he's sly and not above fighting dirty. His real passion is traditional dance.

Osamu is seeking the Kusanagi no Tsurugi--the divine sword that was supposedly lost at sea during in the Battle of Dan-no-ura, in which Yoshitsune was victorious. He first approaches Goemon because he suspects that Zantetsuken is actually the Kusanagi no Tsurugi (it's not). Osamu respects Goemon's skill as a fighter, but he doesn't understand why he'd want to take his ancestor's name. What Osamu sees as Goemon's attachment to old samurai values frustrates him, since his understanding of his own legacy is colored by power struggles, war, and betrayal. Still, Osamu's pursuing a legendary sword that his ancestor failed to recover, so it's not like he's fully disavowed the past, either.

Also, he's a 5'4'' short king whose best friend, Michi, is a six-foot tall, incredibly buff woman. She's not a descendant of the warrior monk Benkei, but she fits the type.

We had been thinking about transJigen which led to us wanting him to have family who was supportive as trans people ourselves we gotta fantasize y'know?

So Jigen’s mom:
- Is a Japanese immigrant who moved to New York
- Married Jigen’s dad, who was American-Italian
- Dad left early on, Jigen doesn’t remember him
- She became a single mother to Jigen & his sister (who’s mentioned briefly in the manga)
- I like to think Jigen’s sister is older than he is
- They lived in a tiny house in New York City
- Jigen left when he was in his late teens
- Mom didn’t know if he was alive or not
- Jigen came back home with Lupin in tow at some point
- Reconnected with his mom
- She’s supportive of him being trans and got used calling him “son” right away
- She calls him every week and they get along well
- They’re very similar personality-wise
- Stoic and tries not to show her feelings too often
- Is very intimidating despite her small stature
- Takes judo classes every week
- Dislikes Lupin but tolerates him for Jigen’s sake
- Likes Goemon, Zenigata and Fujiko a lot!

Yeah Jiji, Date that nice Koichi boy I LOVE her so much. What a mighty fuckin' warrior mom she is!!! (I hope she gave Lupin the black eye! XD )

SO I've been ruminating for a few years [roughly 5] on a Lupin fan-film series concept based upon Universal monsters. Each character here is the focus character, for better or worse.

Charles B. Wittingham​

Charles is based on Dracula and has a burning hatred and vengeance on Dracula as his family was hoping they'd marry into royalty. This story has a lot of self-shipping [mostly My Friend/Jigen/Dracula cus we live free in this house] and is roughed out for all the major plot points.

Ein Hamasaki​

Ein is based on the Creature from the Black Lagoon, it takes some elements from Eternal Mermaid but is still in the process of later plot-lining. All I got is Ein is a run away mermaid princess and is trying very hard to be like humans. I haven't the foggiest of where she'll go but I'm sure I'll find it out lol. She chose her last name from Ayumi Hamasaki.

Piper Bensen​

Piper is based on the Phantom of the Opera, her story is basically bare-bones with the climax being her living her opera singing dreams even if she was kidnapped. I haven't really worked on her much but her ref sheet is about done, just needs shading.

Irene Cassabon​

Irene is based on the Invisible Man, mostly inspired by the remake. She is head over heels for Lupin to a degree that makes one think she should get a day job. Sadly that's all I got for her currently other than her personality, she is a sweet girl but she is far from a good person [she is the bad guy in this one, after all]

Now with Frankenstein, I've been pondering a rock/punk/rockabilly undead dude with maybe the Bride filling the role of bride and doctor. They are not firm in the design or concept, so cutting room floor they remain.

Oh and my Self insert but this is OCs! She may be an OC/self insert but still keeping this strictly original creations
