How did you get into Lupin?
Happened to befriend and become the partner of a chronically Lupin III-addicted individual. Got started with Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, Lupin III: The First, and Lupin III: The Mystery of Mamo, later binged the whole of Part I, Part II, Part IV, and Part V in the doldrum of Covid-19. Thus since she has passed the chronic addiction onto me.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I write, chronically. Most of my media consumption is research or inspiration for said writing or to further my writing and film majors. My current ongoing project is a comprehensive novel-length, ideally thematically layered literary project as a fan work of the Lupin III franchise, which has consumed probably too much of my time and sanity.
Do you have any pets?
At the moment, neither I nor my partner have pets due to university dormitory regulations. However, my direct family has a vast crew of rescue tuxedo cats, including ‘Old Oscar’, ‘Modest Mickey’, ‘Mighty Mouse’, ‘Jovial John (Little John)’ and the kitten ‘Little Lizzie’, and my partner’s family’s pet I am rather acquainted with, a red factor canary named George Julius Tarquin (Tarquin or GJT) for short. They have an, interesting, relationship.
Any Other Fandoms?
I am rather an outsider to anime, albeit I have been a Studio Ghibli enthusiast since I was a grade schooler. My future partner introduced me to a variety of anime, including Kaguya-sama: Love is War, Garden of Words, Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions, Tsugi ga Kirei, and Toradora, and later Spy x Family, although I cannot say I am a dedicated, passionate member of those fandoms. Any other fandom is typically social studies (i.e. history, geography, geopolitics, socioeconomics) or maybe science/science fiction (Godzilla franchise/kaiju genre and hard science fiction) related, because I am a nerd.
