Nikaido herself was someone who never shine a bright spot on handling the performance of Fujiko but at least we get to pay our respects for what she had did for her talent in bringing the sexiness for the character,

Rest in Peace.

She wasn't the original Fujiko, that was Eiko Masuyama and Yukiko Nikaido only got the role in Part 1 as Osumi wasn't happy with her but still her role as Fujiko did have many fans and loved her performance (The Emerald's Secret is the only time both Fujiko VAs were in an episode).

Apparently she had been suffering from dementia for around 13 years and that's such an awful staggering slow way to die, even the thought is upsetting. RIP and I really don't want to say this, she wouldn't be suffering anymore and would be at peace. At least her legacy will continue with the nature estate that she co-founded and having something like that deserves to be remembered on top of her Fujiko role.

Sad news for everyone, but especially Part 1 fans like me :loop_sad: While Yukiko didn't have enough material for me to say I actively prefer her Fujiko over Eiko's, I always thought Yukiko gave the character a slightly rougher edge than Eiko did: still sexy, but not as cloyingly sweet, and I really loved how both made the role their own. I didn't know she had dementia - it's bittersweet that she outlived all five "classic" Lupin voice actors, but only while battling such a difficult illness... at least she can rest in peace now.
