News Lupin III: Part 6 Blu-ray pre-orders open in U.K. on March 14th!

Ah, finally! Lupin III: Part 6 is coming to Blu-ray in the United Kingdom later this year, courtesy of All The Anime!

Announced via a live-stream on their YouTube channel, the long-awaited release of the set will join the likes of The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Part 4, Part 5, and The First on store shelves in the United Kingdom.

Pre-orders are due to open on the 14th of March 2024, with a full release planned later in the year. The set will feature limited edition digipack packaging, along with an exclusive 52-page art book. The entire series features here across three discs. RRP is expected to be around £59.99, if previous sets are anything to go by (although, there’s often a pre-order discount, so act quickly)!

Everything here looks so much better than the US release. Even though I'm not the biggest fan of Part 6, I might get this just because of the booklet and lovely packaging.

Have to really get around to watch Part 6, it's been on the backlog as long as Anime Limited had the rights to this (back in November 2022). Yeah, I know that it isn't a great series but even if it ends up being okay is fine. Probably will still get this just to support more Lupin releases and for the art book, more so now that physical media is winding down. If a collector's edition of Mamo and Part 1 comes out or Koike trilogy and Prison of the Past if they are only restricted to Modern Lupin entries, then yes please.

Just having that gut feeling that Anime Limited will reuse the Sentai discs rather than getting MediaOCD (who Discotek use) to redo them using the Japanese Blu-ray master rather than the broadcast one. Especially considering that many recent and upcoming AL releases reuse Sentai (or connected company Maiden Japan in terms of Patlabor) discs, Nadia in particular even had to recall one of the discs due to a missing episode even if the previous Animatsu release that used the discs was fine.
