I am here to formally announce this watch club, I will refine this post over the next few days.
Each week I, and other volunteer hosts, will be playing a Lupin III Film/Special/OVA/Set of Episodes, of the hosts choosing, on Discord [Invite Link Here]
Afterward, we will gather here to talk about what we watched after, and share our thoughts.

The next days we will be watching together are Wednesday, July 26th and Saturday, July 29th

No, not at all! There's no obligations here, feel free to join in and watch for fun!

No not at all, show up for either time, the multiple timeslots are just to be inclusive to everyone who can't show up at the same time

I would base mics on how many people are there, because too many can get chaotic. For me personally I prefer a written chat box rather than talking over the movie but I would ask the people who show up what they prefer, maybe take a vote?

I think I'll leave them disabled by default, and then if someone asks if they could have their mic on, depending on the situation I'll let them.

79 Toho - First English translation of Lupin I believe, it was produced for JAL to play during flights. most characters' names are changed (Jigen = Dan Dunn, Goemon = Samurai, Fujiko = Margo, Zenigata = Detective Ed Scott). Very much a dub of the 70s, for all that entails, very hokey and goofy, but interesting. Script is very close to the Japanese, but in a direct literal way, so it reads weird at times
95 Streamline - Uses cast of Cagliostro and Greatest Capers, very well performed in my opinion. Script is changed slightly and adds certain jokes, but not as much as Geneon dub does, and has some funny lines. My personal favourite of the English dubs
96 Manga UK - Uses the English cast of Bye Bye Lady Liberty, Lupin's name is changed to Wolf.
05 Geneon/Pioneer - Uses the English cast of Part II, (Tony Oliver, Richard Epcar, Lex Lang, Michelle Ruff, Dan Lorge) so if you love Part II's dub you'll love this. Script is fairly punched up with a lot of jokes like Part II, so if you prefer an untouched script you may prefer something else. My other favourite of the English dubs

Unless stated otherwise, the cast is the normal Italian cast of the time it was produced (So in all three of them, Roberto del Guidice is Lupin and Sandro Pellegrini is Jigen, other cast changes slightly but is consistent.
79 Cinitalia Edizioni - Theatrical dub, based on English Toho script
86 MITO Film - Produced for television, features the Italian cast at their prime, my preferred Italian dub
93 Logica 2000 - Features an entirely different cast than usual
07 Mediaset - Was the last performance of Roberto Del Guidice before his death, is dedicated in his memory, is my second preferred Italian dub.

I like 95 Streamline for Mamo a lot, but I think you forgot to add the Japanese audio as an option! I like that one a lot! 05 Geneon is solid too!

As for my vote, I would love to see one of the Italian ones, I haven’t heard any of those! If you think 86 MITO is best I would love to see it

Japanese audio is the first option on the poll, I just didn't feel the need to explain it in the post, I figured the Japanese audio was the given lol

I was wondering about this one - the cover is... very 70's I think is the nicest way of puting it, but it has one of the best scenes of Jigen who opens his jacket to reveal a full arsenal of guns so I'm hoping I'll like it
