Legacy of Lupin DX: A (Remastered!) Lupin III Retrospective (ONGOING!)

Hi there! So I made a thread about my ongoing Lupin III retrospective series on YouTube a few months ago, but since then, I've decided to remake and remaster those videos with additional content and research, as well as spin them off into their own channel. That's why I'm announcing Legacy of Lupin DX, a remastered continuation of my Lupin retrospectives!

I'll be redoing my older videos with more information and context, as well as deeper insights on specific scenes and character moments. I'll be updating this thread with the new videos as they go live. Right now, I've reuploaded my first impressions on Lupin Zero and Lupin vs. Cat's Eye as well as my list of my top 25 Lupin episodes.

The current goal is to remake my history of Lupin III video for Wednesday and then make a brand-new video on the pilot film for Saturday. After that, I'll be remaking videos on a weekly schedule — then bi-weekly starting in October. I'm doing this alongside content for my other channels, so it'll be a big undertaking, but one I'm really looking forward to!

To see what this series is all about, you can watch the intro video down below!

I've remastered my brief history of Lupin III! I wanted this to be a general overview rather than a comprehensive breakdown, as it's somewhat of a primer on the series for newcomers. It also includes a bit of analysis on the manga, which is something I really want to dig deep into at a later date.

Next week, I'll be looking at the Pilot Film!

Really Liked the Changes of the history of Lupin.
I also enjoyed the old versions of the Vids and can‘t Wait to See what the new versions will bring.
(Will also try to catch one of the coming streams live.)

Thanks so much! I'm really proud of the older versions but I'm hoping to take them all to the next level in the coming months!

In my original retrospective, I only spent about 4 minutes talking about the Lupin III pilot film, and most of that was historical information. Now I've expanded that to 20 minutes (longer than the pilot film itself!) with more historical information and deeper character study. Check it out down below!

Amazing video mate, and an incredible effort going back and diving deeper into these. Keep up the fantastic work!

D'oh, completely forgot to update this thread with my last video! So now I've got two to share with you!

First, it's a look-back at Part 1 and how it established a lot of the series' conventions while still making its own unique statement.

Next, we look at that bizarre and ludicrous live-action 70s Lupin movie, Strange Psychokinetic Strategy.

On this new channel, I wanted to start doing smaller, individual projects in addition to redoing the full series retrospective. So with that, I took a look at a classic Part 2 episode: The Wind in Morocco Is Hot, featuring a Lupin and Zenigata team up, plenty of hot desert action, and some... er, questionable ethnic depictions.
