Lack of Activity and Holiday Project?

Hi folks! I wanted to briefly apologize for my lack of keeping up as much and posting questions. I have been dealing with a death in my family, but I am hoping I will be done with the majority of funeral arrangements etc by mid October. So I'd like to get back to normal posting around then. And hey, we'll have a Jigen movie to talk about around then too!

I would love to have a holiday project here on the forum! How do we feel about a secret santa art trade? Or something like that? Maybe art prompts? I am open to suggestions on ideas for this, so please feel free to comment on this thread if you have one!

Thanks as always for your patience and being nice to each other, it certainly makes it so I don't have to worry much when I can't check in as often.

I'm absolutely down for a secret santa, let's have a really fun event after a rough/busy year!
Maybe in conjunction with an advent calendar type event with fun holiday themed prompts; maybe a suggestion box where folks can pop in a prompt of their own and people can write/draw based on that list.

Jey and I are gonna work on some art prompts once a week again, and I like this advent calendar idea. Any one want to contribute a piece to release on one of the 24 days? I'll setup a thread for this as an idea and see if we have enough people to fill all the days!

I'm too busy with work to commit to anything with a deadline, but if someone is going to run an exchange event in the future, would it be possible to implement an offers section in the sign-up? I often run into the problem that I'd like to request ships A, B or C, but I'm willing to write almost anything. I guess the general assumption is that what you request is also what you want to create for others, but in my case at least that's not true. I participate in a couple of multi-fandom exchanges a year, and this is the norm in those, and I find it very useful.

And VN, I will totally look into having something like a fic/art scenario request thread? I recall that being popular back in the LiveJournal fandom days, maybe people can prompt each other with ideas all year round that way!
