So we now know we'll be having two movies, one online, Zenigata and the 2 Lupins, on June 20th and one in theaters, Immortal Bloodline, on June 26th! I'll get around to sharing some info, and we can all share our thoughts after watching them. Won't be too long of a wait.

THERE IS TWO AND ZENIGATA GETS HIS OWN FILM?!! I'm guessing the first trailer we got is from the Zenigata one and the most recent trailer with the new song is from an immortal bloodline. I had lost hope for a Zenigata film but this is getting exciting.

I'm actually more excited about the Zenigata film than the theatrical one because it's been so long since Zenigata was in the spotlight. Part 6 treated him terribly. Maybe the second Lupin in that film will be a clone created by Mamo. If so, I'd love if the clone honestly believed himself to be the real Lupin. That could get emotional really fast.

She also noted the double use of the word pride was a translating two different phrases as the same word. She said "誇り and 矜持 are both translated as pride.
The latter means "pride in one's abilities"." I'm also guessing Muom = Mamo.

So it seems like maybe Zenigata and one of the two Lupins are gonna team up this one has so much idea meat haha I wish I wrote my Zenigata and the clone fic ages ago haha but hopefully this will inspire many more...

seconding this!! I feel like I've ranted about this before (which i have on tumblr, lol) but I genuinely feel like koike zeni has so much interesting potential.

and the clone lupin stuff, gosh. I feel like clone lupin's only ever been teased or hinted at as like, a hypothetical (og mamo and at the end of tokyo crisis iirc (might be wrong here, its been a hot min)) or handled wayyyy to conceptually to be broadly palpable (gvr). i wanna see how they handle this soso bad.

Lupin being out of his usual suit annoys me way more than it should. Probably because he hasn't worn the blue jacket since Jigen's Gravestone and I thought since it's the big thing he would finally put it back on. At least it looks like he'll have it in the Zenigata OVA.

Sorry to hear it annoyed you! For me, for me one of Koike's strengths in these are his interesting designs for their outfits, that stand out a lot considering most of the movies they stay in the same outfit for the full runtime. I think usually the plot/script can be a bit weaker but usually the visual aspects are the highlight for me.

Some character reveals. Probably some of many henchmen/assassins that the gang will be up against. The first one a cyborg Luuo, voiced by Mogura Suzuki, and the other one is Fua, voiced by Mizukawa Katamari.

Also I have heard from VegetableSaute that Japanese fans have been joking about how Zenigata screams Lupin's name in the trailer. The joke is that the one who screams the hero's name is usually the heroine, so they say Zenigata is the heroine in Lupin's story, which we all know is true hehe

A very typical Lupin plot but if it's full of Kokie action charm who am 'I to complain?
if anything I want Mamo and Lupin do a little fist to fist and Lu getting his arse kicked by the little guy.
