Jigen song WIP - "Keep Your Hat Dow Low"

Hey y'all, I wrote a song about Jigen for my upcoming EP "Gender Outlaw", the theme of the album is using outlaw imagery as an allegory for being queer in America right now. If anyone here is an LGBTQ+ musician who is interested in featuring on this song or the album in general, hit me up! I'm gonna set it up to be a charity project, all proceeds going towards the Transgender Law Center.
Especially interested in people who can do guitar solos, play banjo, violin/fiddle, and other country/roots rock instruments, but I'm open to most anything

Here's a very very rough demo recording of it: https://www.patreon.com/posts/127776756 (don't freak out about the Patreon link, it's a free post)

Lyrics:
You’re a wanted man

From New York to Japan

You stick to the shadows

All across the land

You’re an ace in the hole

With a fire in your soul

You carry your pain

Deep in your heart of gold

So keep your hat down low

So no one else can see what you see

Even when you’re all alone

Sipping your whiskey

Tip your hat down low

Don’t let em see your eyes

Don’t let em know

If you cry

You got a big iron on your hip

Smoke trailing from your lip

Keep on surviving

Your future’s in your grip

Dressed in black

Followed by the ghosts of your past

But they can’t hurt you

If you don’t look back

So keep your hat down low

So no one else can see what you see

Even when you’re all alone

Sipping your whiskey

Tip your hat down low

Don’t let em see your eyes

Don’t let em know

If you cry

Oh you can be so sweet

But life can be so cruel

But they’ll never have you beat

One on one in a duel

Beautiful stuff!!! When you think about it, it makes perfect sense why the Lupin franchise has so many queer fans... "proper" society is against both us and the Lupin gang but they always come out on top and that gives me hope that we will too :loop_sad: This song reflects that perfectly - I'll absolutely buy the EP when it comes out!

I so agree, Lupin inspires so many queer people because of his steadfast commitment to his freedom and doing what he wants even if society doesn't agree. The gang finds family in each other and even if society rejects them, they are joyful to live how they want to and no one can stop them!

Hope more musicians will join you, I wish I was able to but I will just have to spread the word and buy it myself :transheart:
