Hey y'all, I'll be updating this first post in the thread with more info later but wanted to throw it out there that I'm planning on doing an online talk on how to run a zine and print books. It'll take some time to put together so here's my main goals for now:

- Fund the talk through Kofi
- Make a powerpoint
- Give the talk on my Twitch channel + q&a
- Upload the VOD to my youtube
- Upload the powerpoint as a long text guide here and various other socials (my art blog, patreon, tumblr, etc.)

I've done talks at libraries and conventions just like this many times before and I've been itching to do more. If there's anything you'd like me to cover comment below!

I'd love any and all pointers on working digitally with printing in mind -- how to choose the right sizing for a project, setting up proper bleed guidelines, and then how to manage one's files to make sure everything's ready to be printed. I know that this is often something that prevents people from having older comics printed in a physical format, for instance, since they were made with the web as the only considered format!

Oh absolutely! I've been doing this exact thing since 2013 so I'll definitely be talking about print-ready files, websafe files and how to organize those! Thanks for suggesting, Jonnie!

I agree with Jonnie, file formating is such a challenging step, tips to keep in mind when you START that will make later file formation more smooth seems ideal.

Maybe some info about anticipated budgets, common time frames that facilitate getting the work completed, some info about ways to organize a group project and tips for that process vs when working alone.

Very excited you're working on this resource! It sounds wonderful!
