There's this webcomic series that I've been reading called Lackadaisy. Which also got an animated pilot and shorts on Youtube.
It's set in St. Louis during the Prohibition Era, so there's stuff like bootlegging, speakeasies and all sorts of crime. But more notably, it's about the rivalry between two bootlegging groups, Lackadaisy and Marigold.
However, the characters are all anthropomorphic cats, so there's little to no human characters, but that's okay because the characters themselves are charming and expressive.
I also got a chance to check out the pilot and I thought it was fun. Rocky Rickaby definitely gave me alot vibes of the Lupin manga from the pilot interestingly enough.
It just makes wonder if anyone else has also given this series a shot.
