I had just brought this up to my girlfriend because we had missed it when we watched it together because it happens so fast. But in episode 38 of World Masterpiece Theatre's A Little Princess Sara, at about 9 and a half minutes in; in the background, Zenigata can be seen very briefly as they walk past him.

A Character who is a detective in "Occultic; Nine" was inspired by Zenigata as a kid so he references Lupin III several times throughout the books.

Azumanga Daioh has a character called Tomo who does a little dance and then pretends to be Fujiko
this goes even deeper when another character from the show appears in "When they cry" meaning that Lupin III is like a TV show in their world, similar to ours.

the last isn't a ref but "the bad guys" the recent film by DreamWorks admitted they were inspired by Lupin III the first.

oh and can't forget Ducktales (reboot) having a dog character that has Lupin's swag and hairstyle.

How to forget the entire first part of episode 5 of FLCL, which is EXCLUSIVELY Lupin content hehe :kar_jigen:
I remember losing my mind over it when first discovering FLCL!

(Sorry the episode is in French, it's the only one I could find at the moment :( )

(just watched it again, and during the scene when you see a robot from behind in the kitchen, you can here the character dressed as Lupin speak of the fact that he's wearing a red jacket because it's the most popular worldwide, and asking his son if he prefered the "blue one" from the first season and from castle of Cagliostro (probably a mistake during the french dubbing, poor translator didn't know) but yeah!! LOVE IT)

Love it!
OOOH YESS The Bad Guys! So many Lupin references! Gotta watch it again to list them all but the Cagliostro Jump, the car chasing scene, the police Inspector being a perfect Zenigata WHILE also making fun of Zenigata's full on obsession with Lupin... And so much more!
I remember thinking to myself during the movie "Maaaan that has to be one of the best Lupin Movie I've ever seen"

This Scene in the movie Luca, that I believe to be a really nice Cagliostro Jump reference hehe :kar_jigen:

I'm not awake enough to hunt down a Youtube clip (if one even exists, because Disney), but The Great Mouse Detective has a clock tower scene directly inspired by Cagliostro.
Here you go, the animators at Disney at the time have actually admitted to being inspired by Cagliostro. I forget the details, but I know there was one guy who was really into anime and was showing a bunch to the other animators, and none of them really stuck with them until he showed them Cagliostro which they ate up instantly.

Persona 5 is a Lupin III reference. The protagonist's persona is straight up Arsené Lupin, someone else's persona is Goemon (the original Goemon), the Lupin run shows up, etc.
I have never played Persona 5 but OH BOY you really make me want to!

Yeah, was about to mention Ducktales 2017. It not only has the dog that looks like Lupin, it also has Inspector Tezuka, who is basically just Zenigata. Plus the first episode has a dog who references Jigen

Wow! A good many major direct references are covered on this thread (thank god we have them in one place now)! I can't think of more off the top of my head, but I do have some near-references/ostensible homages? Looker from Pokemon isn't a literal Zenigata cameo but he is an eccentric international policeman tirelessly (obsessively, even) tracking down villainous groups (he's also a master of disguise so perhaps he's more of a lupin-zenigata fusion. eau de lupin iii). His music kinda feels like the nail in the coffin for me, personally. It sounds a lot like Zenigata March. He also has a sad version. Like Zenigata March! Again this one isn't so much a reference as it is a character with strong inspiration but I thought I'd throw it in here. Bulbapedia sure seems to think so, anyway!
