Ah info on this plush?

It's part of the plush toy series called "Little Kid"made by one of the most major toy manufacturers in Japan called Bandai that I guess is known for their most selling product Tamagocchi. As far as I know, Lupin (& other regular members including Pops) plush was in the market sometime between late 80's and early 90's. Judging from these photos, I think it's not bogus. Pretty rare colour actually. There were several colour variations but the vast majority had a light blue tie with the same colour bow on the hat.

I don't know. I think the top one might be a bootleg of the Little Kids plushies.

On the original plush, only the hat and tie is felt, meanwhile, the top one is all felt. Plus having no tag doesn't give me confidence. I think the og seller is overpricing it.

Thank you both for the help. I think he's still pretty cute even if he's a bootleg. Interesting though, I never seen a bootleg of a Lupin plush moreover any Lupin merch before. The seller mentioned in the description that the tush tag is missing, still it's kinda suspicious. Really want one, but there's only one and it's being sold in a set and for almost $400.😵

Yeah I'm with this. I think it's also worth noting that the face is completely different:

If that sucker ain't a bootleg I would be genuinely surprised. Also why would anyone want a plush made entirely out of felt that sounds like the most uncomfortable thing ever 😭

Back in the Pokemon fandom early on, we had many plush that were so rare that it was hard to know what was a bootleg from those early releases. Eventually someone made a website to archive everyone in the community's collections and now it's much more easy to recognize those early plush releases in many countries.

Do the other plush in the listing look like they came from the same set? Are they more common ones? Maybe they're just from a rare set. It's worth considering older plush releases might just not be well documented online.
