The LA Chargers made another anime schedule release video this year, and a Lupin III reference made the cut (apparently to poke fun at another team's superfan who was arrested for robbing a bank).
Watching the Trigun fandom propel This Is How You Lose the Time War back onto the book charts after 4 years has really been the kind of internet event I've missed.

The funniest thing about Kyosuke Mamo to me is how they pepper in the fact that he's a Hugo Award winner. Who also happened to invent a working time machine. It's like, "What do Kyosuke Mamo, Ursula Le Guin, and AO3 have in common?"
Woke up wondering why the Lupin horse racing commercial looked so good, and according to sakugabooru, it's because the key animation was done by Hisao Yokobori, who sakugabooru also attributes significant cuts from the Part 4 and Part 5 openings, the Lupin Zero ending, Eternal Mermaid, and Bloodspray to, as well as cuts from FMA: Brotherhood and Whisper of the Heart. So that does explain things.
I really want a "Goemon Zero" type thing where Zantetsuken (斬鉄剣) is actually "Zantetsuken" (残鉄剣) and a swordsmith is like, "That's a good-for-nothing sword! It'll never cut anything!" And Goemon's like, "Don't worry, Zantetsuken...I'm descended from thieves. I'm also a good-for-nothing." And then Zantetsuken gently eats some oats out of Goemon's hand and they overcome the odds to win the Kentucky Derby. Or something.
Trying to finish a fic I've been chipping away at for a couple weeks, but I keep having ideas for other fics that would surely be less difficult to write...
The emotional rollercoaster of realizing that the twitter user behind the "King's Hand" tweet has a Jigen pfp, then seeing that their most recent tweet (from literqlly 2 minutes ago) is about how they are NOT a Lupin fan, they do NOT know who the character in their pfp is, and they just thought it was a funny picture.
Weird question, but has anyone done or seen fanart of Lupin in the David Byrne Big Suit? I can't tell if I've actually seen this before, of if it's a memory I've made up.
Asking myself the serious questions, like, "Who in the gang would be a fan of Kate Bush?"
